Our experience is ongoing due to a manufacturer’s error in shipping, but I figured I’d get this review posted while we wait.
If you grew up around here like I did, the idea of shopping a furniture store on Highland probably sets of budgetary alarms. I’d always figured that a freestanding, independent furniture place couldn’t possibly match or beat the big boys.
Wrong again, bucko.
Linda’s did us a better deal on a beautiful Robert Michaels sofa than any of the bigger places did. More importantly, we chose our own upholstery from the large book of available ones, as well as the cloth for the accent pillows. We then put down a reasonable deposit on our custom-built beauty. Here’s the final kicker: they offered to let us inspect the sofa once it came in and, if we weren’t happy with it for any reason, refund us the deposit and sell it themselves on the showroom floor.
I was floored.
The sofa is beautiful, we saved a few bucks, and got to choose exactly what we wanted. How often does that happen?
