As it turns out, I opted for West of Memphis and am glad that I did. I know four people who saw Celeste and Jesse Forever and none of them liked it. A couple found it underwritten and a bit trite, while one described a comedy that hit all of the expected notes and had very little new to say.

Hi James!
Congratulations on getting into the festival. I’m really excited to see your movie. Some friends and I just began work on a second iteration of our own indie game, so I’m looking forward to seeing how our experience compares with those you document.
Good luck and enjoy the festival!

Sam –
Which one I end up at will depend a lot on whether I’m feeling up to the fast traveling it’ll require to get from the movie before it to West of Memphis and, probably more importantly, whether I’m feeling up to two and a half hours of indictment of the US legal system. If I’m in the mood for a bit of levity, and I usually am at Sundance, Celeste and Jesse it’ll be!
Thanks for weighing in.
