The Breath Enhancer burger and garlic rosemary fries share the same pesto-like spread made from cooked garlic, rosemary, and oil. It is one of the best thing I have eaten in the past two months, and compliments both dishes perfectly. Vampires beware, I still have the garlic smell on my fingers three whole days after I visited, a nice reminder of a great meal.
On Friday when I was there, I showed up for lunch rather late and was promptly informed that it might be an hour if I want a burger. Seeing how crestfallen I was, the bartender said it might be more like half an hour. I’m glad I stuck around, as his estimate was dead on. He also went out of his way, despite their being out of the house-smoked bacon, to make sure that some made it onto my plate.
It’s not hard to see why these guys are this busy, although it turned out that the potential delay came because a table was engaging in their eating challenge which involves eating a ridiculously large and a ridiculously spicy burger within an hour. When they got started cooking the habanero burger, I could barely breathe from the fumes. Anyway, I appreciate the heads up early in my visit that the wait could be less than ideal.
Great food and I will be back without a doubt. I cannot think of a burger in SLC that I have enjoyed more short of the dearly departed ACME Burger’s Truffle Burger, and the Lucky 13 burger was half the price. Color me converted.
